Vilamuseu receives a grant of €8,608.42 for ‘Modernisation, conservation, equipment and adaptation of Vilamuseu infrastructures’.

The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage grants the Town Council of La Vila Joiosa in a resolution of 24 October 2024 a subsidy of 8,608.42 € in accordance with the call for subsidies for museums and recognised permanent museum collections and movable assets of the Valencian Community.

This amount has contributed, among other things, to the maintenance and renovation of the resources that guarantee the good Conservation and Security of the Collections with the acquisition of thermohygrometers for the Casa Museo La Barbera dels Aragonés. These devices allow the temperature and humidity to be monitored in real time and a history of the data is recorded and can be downloaded to the computer. In the section on security of collections, maintenance has been carried out on the locking systems of the movibloc mobile cabinets, which is a storage system made up of a set of shelves that move on rails, guaranteeing optimum order and distribution in the warehouse, and above all, saving a great deal of space.
Work has also been undertaken to renovate exhibitions such as the change of companies for ‘Música, pólvora i desembarc’ or the basic graphics for the exhibition ‘De temor y seda. The watchtowers of the coast’, produced by the Demetrio Ribes Chair, a centre of the University of Valencia.

On the other hand, licences have been acquired for a computer programme for the drawing of archaeological pieces, excavation plans and exhibition design.
