Description

The Dream of the Silk Road is an exhibition by Chinese artist Baoren Li (Xian, 1945). All the works are created using the traditional Chinese ink technique. The artist does not seek to depict reality but to evoke atmospheres that lead us to encounter the main themes of traditional Chinese painting, such as the Chinese horoscope, the seasons, animals and plants, and calligraphy.
 
Baoren Li is a member of the Council of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association, member of the Traditional Chinese Painting Association, member of the Shaanxi Province Delegation of the China Painters' Association of the China Painters Association and member of the Xi'an Painters Association. 
 
He set the world record three times with his two paintings of 518 shrimps, 228 metres long and 6 metres wide, 228 metres in length and 618 fishes 26 metres in length and his drawings of 108 people in an ostrich egg. 
 
He held his first exhibition in Spain at the Alicante University Headquarters 
at the invitation of the Centro de Estudios Orientales of the University of Alicante in 2005 and the second one at the Chinese Embassy in Madrid in 2012. In 2021 he held his Chinese painting exhibition in Ning Bo (China).
