The exhibition "They are the revolution", organised by Amnesty International, is about the defence of women's rights in Afghanistan, which have been drastically reduced after the return to power of the Taliban in August 2021. It consists of excerpts from interviews that Amnesty International conducted with sixteen women who had developed their professional careers as teachers, sportswomen, lawyers, etc. and who have had to emigrate or remain without practising their profession because of the harsh repression they are suffering.

 

This is the third exhibition of Amnesty International that passes through Vilamuseu, which with these actions helps to make visible social injustices and particularly, the struggle for women's rights.
