For 3000 years the port of Villajoyosa has been the main link with the rest of the world.
Through this port people, ideas and products have arrived, products such as the vine, the olive, writing and even cocoa, all of which are the basis of our culture and our gastronomy.
What brought about these routes down to the beach?
At the back of Villajoyosa beaches there is a difference in levels of 20 metres.
In order to descend one had to make steps like this.
In 2019 through an initiative arrangement from Espai de Debat en Positiu Equinocci and Villajoyosa Local Authority highlighted the importance of these traditional accesses.
