The Enchanted Rock (panel 28)
This unusual rock beside the ancient path has given rise to various legends.
The best known of these tells that on Saint John’s Eve the rock opens and a little old lady walks out.
She is dressed in white and wearing a pamela hat —that is a broadbrimmed hat— adorned with coloured ribbons.
Young people should take one before the lady returns to the rock.
If they succeed they will find true love.
But woe betide you if you choose the black ribbon for soon you will be dead!
