The interviews are carried out on HD video with their own media, in outdoor places and with all security measures, with people who have already been vaccinated against Covid-19.
After the recording, they are transcribed in the following days and then the text is reviewed with the family, to mark the parts that can be shared publicly and those that are only stored as a historical source. In any case, Vilamuseu always requests permission from the family before using, publishing or sharing any part of them in publications, research or social networks.
After the transcription, which usually takes a couple of weeks of work for each recording, the most relevant fragments are selected and, if the person interviewed and the family approve, it is shared publicly on social networks and the Vilamuseu YouTube channel.
There is a catalog of keywords and for each interview it is indicated which ones have been discussed (for example: cooking, agriculture, traditional songs ...), so that in future exhibitions or research fragments of interest can be easily located. This work will also be extended to the entire archive of videos made for years, some of which are pending transcription and editing, so that they can be shared in the coming months.
