Vilamuseu opens the booking period for the activities of its educational programme

As it does every year, Vilamuseu is launching its educational programme for the academic year, which includes activities from nursery school to high school. The main objectives of the programme are to raise awareness of the rich cultural heritage of the municipality and the museum's collections, as well as to encourage children and young people's interest in culture and appreciation of historical heritage. In the 2022-2023 academic year, more than 5,000 students took part in one of the activities included.

The educational programme includes activities in all the Vilamuseu's exhibitions: "Tresors de la Vila Joiosa", "Música, pólvora i desembarc", "The Bou Ferrer shipwreck: an extraordinary archaeological site” and also in the Casa Museo La Barbera dels Aragonés. Visits are also made to some of the places of interest and monuments such as the Roman Tower of San Josep, the tower of l'Aguilò, the Ibero-Roman sanctuary of La Malladeta or the “Castell” Park, where students can learn about the history of our municipality "in situ".

All activities in the educational programme can be consulted in the Education section of our website or by requesting the educational programme directly from Vilamuseu staff. All activities are free of charge and take place from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 2pm from 3 October 2023 to 20 June 2024.
