The catalogue of "Artists facing climate change" is now available.

Vilamuseu launches the online catalogue of the contemporary art exhibition "Artists facing climate change" with works by artists from Villajoyosa. The project began in May, on the occasion of International Museum Day 2023 and under the theme museums, sustainability and wellbeing.  Vilamuseu organised a day dedicated to live artistic creation with the intention of raising awareness of the climate crisis through art in any of its manifestations. The final objective of the activity was to generate a collective exhibition at Vilamuseu with a discourse created by several artists around the theme of nature and its fragility, an exhibition that materialised a few months later, from 8 November 2023 to 11 February 2024.

In the catalogue we find works by twelve artists with different professional careers and styles: Àngela Adrover, Evaristo Alguacil, Vicenta Aragonés, Amparo Aranda, Olivia Boj, Iris Eichler, Carla Espín, Vicenta Llinares, Ginés Lloret, José Piqueras, Marcos Sempere and Mariano Vázquez. The catalogue contains the dialogue between the ideas that the artists express through their own plastic language and the works that served as inspiration and that we were able to appreciate in the exhibition "José Piqueras. Colour and silence" from March to September 2023 at Vilamuseu.
